Job Description: 

C. L. Services, Inc. is a 3PL transportation broker. We provide transportation solutions to major shippers (military, national retail, grocery, automotive, etc.) throughout North America. We specialize in truckload, reefer, van flatbed, LTL, and intermodal. 

We are seeking an experienced Produce Transportation Broker for immediate consideration. The successful sales professional will be self-motivated and help us grow our business. You will have control over your success with unlimited earnings potential. Requirements: 
  • Knowledge of 3PL, supply chain and freight transportation industry
  • Excitement about building and maintaining relationships with customers and carriers
  • Experience with produce and refrigerated transportation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decision and solve problems
  • Able to multitask to quickly meet customer demands and provide solutions to issues
  • Unquestionable honesty and integrity in all business matters
  • A strong work ethic and sense of diligence
  • Fearlessness in conducting sales over the phone, including cold calls
  • Excellent communication skills and positive interactions with others; including the ability to handle conflict
  • Must thrive while working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Responsible for coordinating shipments across North America
  • Generate leads through existing business, cold calling and networking activities
  • Create opportunities for sales with either your own or new customers
  • Up-sell, build, maintain and manage existing customer accounts
  • Negotiate rates between customers and carriers
  • Track and update shipment status to customers
  • Maintaining customer profiles and sales records
  • Responsible for validating a carrier’s qualifications to our established carrier setup procedures
  • Answer carrier inquiries/communications as required.
  • Communicate information timely and accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Interface with various internal departments to assure customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for meeting gross profit targets
