Ayco Farms, based in Pompano Beach, FL, is a premier supplier of a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from multiple growing and shipping points throughout the world. We grow, import and sell a diverse range of fresh commodities to the top national supermarkets and wholesalers.

We have an excellent opportunity for a successful, high volume sales talent to sell our imported bell peppers and other vegetables nationwide, along with our high performing sales team in Pompano Beach, FL.

Responsibilities:

As a member of our experienced produce team you will focus on selling imported Mexican bell peppers and other vegetables to national retail and wholesale accounts.
Achieve business targets – Volume, Revenue, Profit and Market Share.
Grow business opportunities with existing and potential retail and wholesale customers, focusing on improving margin, volume, and product breadth.
Negotiate long and short-term pricing strategies that meet or exceed budget commitments with customers; based on sales targets, competitive environment, seasonal supply, and market demand.
Identify and strategically pursue industry trends in fast-growing segments.
Demonstrate an understanding of the fresh foods supply-chain; annual supply/pricing dynamics, business operations, sales contract negotiation, distribution logistics, quality management and claims processing.
Prepare sales reports and correspondence in a timely and effective manner.
Create customer sales presentation materials and present in meetings with retail accounts.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years related experience in high volume sales of peppers and other vegetables.
A proven track record of at least $10M a year in sales.
Experience selling to national supermarket and wholesale accounts.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Results oriented, with a very strong sense of urgency.
Proficiency with FAMOUS, a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
