Employer Introduction

Roka Bioscience is dedicated to developing rapid, highly accurate molecular assays and instrument systems for the Food Safety Industry. The Atlas® System represents a new tier of molecular rapid pathogen testing, offering automation and technology that bring true walk-away convenience and workflow advantages to the laboratory.

Roka is focused on creating novel testing solutions that help manufacturers mitigate risks, protect their brands, and meet the increasing testing demands now and for years to come.

Our Vision

Roka Bioscience will provide food safety professionals with a fully automated molecular pathogen detection solution that delivers rapid, accurate results and improved laboratory efficiencies.

Roka Bioscience was established in 2009 through a spin-off of Gen-Probe’s (now Hologic) industrial testing assets and technology into an independent company. Hologic is a global leader in nucleic acid tests (NATs) used primarily to diagnose human diseases and screen donated human blood. Roka’s molecular assays will be based on proven technologies and instrument platforms with exclusive licensing rights from Hologic, Inc.

Roka Bioscience is dedicated to delivering the most advanced testing solutions to the Food Safety Industry. We understand the challenges facing manufacturers. Food pathogen outbreaks have had significant negative economic impact, affecting not just the product that must be recalled from the shelves, but also the entire brand. Consumer awareness—and concern—are at all-time high levels. The need for advanced, cost-effective, efficient pathogen detection systems has never been more imminent.

Roka is here to partner with food manufacturers and help them reach the next level of food safety testing. Our proven molecular testing technology delivers accurate, rapid results utilizing the Atlas System, enabling greater laboratory efficiencies than ever before.
