Job Description:
The Nunes Company, a Salinas based Grower/Shipper of fresh produce under the Foxy® brand name, seeks a highly motivated IT Director to join our team.
The IT Director is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, management and execution of all IT functions for the company. This includes directing all IT operations to meet user requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a Master’s in Business Administration, or other advanced degree a plus.
- Five years of demonstrated related experience managing a company or department’s technology requirements.
- Experience managing employees
- Experience with system administration for Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP system
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Partners with management team to align company information technology with strategic direction.
- Builds and develops IT organization, processes and procedures to support business needs.
- Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or management and recommends technical solutions.
- Evaluates and implements IT procedures and equipment purchases and maintenance.
- Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Develops and maintains company Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures.
- Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule.
- Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
- Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting status.
- Performs liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or troubleshooting.
- Manages employees working in the IT department.
- Performs salary recommendations, conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel in the IT department.
- Directs education and training programs for IT staff.
