Job Description: 

The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, developing and controlling the warehouse; re-pack operation and distribution of products in the San Francisco and L.A. areas. The Manager develops and maintains an efficient warehouse, re-pack and timely distribution system to maximize sales potentials consistent with good inventory and receiving control. The Manager also provides overall guidance on company transportation policies and procedures to ensure and integrated distribution and warehouse system.

Requirements: 
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional driving, requiring up-to-date car insurance.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Ability to travel (overnight) once a month.
  • 2+ years warehouse management experience.
  • Good people and interpersonal skills.
  • Fork Lift and Electric Pallet Jack certification.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Review, analyze and reports actual warehouse.re-pack, and transportation costs.
  • Manages building and equipment repairs.
  • Develop and maintain Preventative Maintenance programs.
  • Prepare productivity manual/report for re-pack, picking and loading levels to ensure proper levels and costs.
  • Interviews warehouse, re-pack and driver candidates and provides feedback.
  • Routes daily local deliveries orders and coordinates dispatching.
  • Review on a daily basis all credits, miss-pick and other concerns with warehouse/driver staff.
  • Reviews associate scheduling to insure proper shift coverage.
  • Daily communication with Warehouse Leads, Re-Pack Leads, Sales and Receivers on all operational situations.
  • Maintains communication with route drivers to ensure on time deliveries.
  • Ensure associates have the proper equipment to start the workday (safety shoes and vest).
  • Monitors safety and GMP programs.
  • Monitors the running of the pick documents and labels for daily routes and specials deliveries.
  • Monitors the proper picking and loading sequence of all scheduled deliveries.
  • Communicates with sales team on shortages and late customer deliveries.
  • Audits orders pulled by pickers throughout the night.
  • Ensures all process and procedures are followed on established work methods.
  • Conducts observations and administers coaching and counseling.
  • To train, develop, motivate, manage and control associates to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Maintain sanitation program.
  • Develops and maintains Safety Programs.
  • Develops and maintains food safety programs.
  • Reviews results of pick-rates and loading errors on a daily basis with associates and Warehouse Leads and will be reviewed once a week with a summary report.
  • Manage dock and yard flow for all inbound deliveries.
  • Ensures proper storage and rotation of all products and supplies.
  • Maintain security of the warehouse and yard.
  • Maintain cleaning schedule and records to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.
