National Sales Manager

Job Description: 

Fresh Origins is America’s leading grower of Microgreens, Edible Flowers and related specialty produce.  Our products are used in the nation’s finest restaurants and resorts.  We are seeking a National Sales Manager to develop and grow our business within the retail grocery segment.  The ideal candidate will have an established track record of dealing with major and regional retailers. This is a newly created position that will focus on retail but also work to maintain and expand our existing foodservice business.  This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and actively growing company with the most innovative products in produce. We're looking for someone who is highly motivated and energized to take on this important role. If you are a self-starter with at least three to five years of produce sales experience in retail/and food service, we would like to hear from you. It is crucial that candidates who apply for this position can demonstrate a proven track record of generating new business. Having established business relationships is a strong asset. In addition, this opportunity requires extensive travel within the United States.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Responsible for promoting and selling a premium value-added produce brand.
  • Maintain and grow established customer base. 
  • Develop new leads in retail and food service to expand our sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Respond to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
  • Help design, create and implement programs which will result in brand growth.
  • Manage and lead other sales staff in sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales team on strategy and program planning and implementation.
  • The position requires significant travel to set-up and staff trade shows and other events. Assist with trade show travel arrangements.

  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications: 
  • Proven success managing customer relationships and providing outstanding customer service.
  • At least 3 years of experience selling produce to national retailers and foodservice customers.
  • Establish customer base and large number of industry contacts is desirable.
  • A solid record in increasing sales and establishing new accounts is a must.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Have flexibility to accommodate changing business conditions, work requirements and scheduling needs.
  • Self-starter with the passion and determination to work hard to meet or exceed goals.
