Westwind Organics is a 200+ acre certified organic commercial vegetable farm in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley, located in NW Washington state. We grow over 30 different types of vegetables with a heavy emphasis on lettuce, broccoli, bunched greens, cabbage, celery, and winter storage crops. We operate with the highest principles of sustainability for the planet, people, and profit. Family-owned farm that has been in business since 1995.
Primary responsibilities:
- Oversee green house, crop production, harvest, and packing operations for quality and performance
- Provide proper training for all crews regularly
- Manage, coordinate, and communicate daily with crews and management
- Ensure high quality standards are achieved
- Analyze farming practices to optimize yields
- Create a positive, fair, and respectful work environment
- Develop systems to optimize efficiency
Required skills:
- Good communication skills
- Good leadership skills
- Desire to learn and grow on the job
- Driven self-starter
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish important tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to keep and maintain records
Required knowledge & experience:
- Agricultural Experience: 5 years
- Farm Management Experience: 2 years
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Proficient in using Microsoft 365
Preferences:
- Organic vegetable crop experience
- Passion for farming
