Job Description:

The Production Manager, Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, grading, sorting, and shipping citrus. Trains workers in grading and packing procedures in accordance with customers' specifications. Ensuring fruit quality is maintained in relation to company standards. Communicate with management as the production schedule progress, quality concerns, and employee issues. Support Food Safety & Quality Management programs by ensuring standards and procedures are followed.  Effectively manage warehouse costs, and ensure productivity goals are met in order to achieve customer satisfaction.

The Production Manager is Responsible for:

  • Scheduling employees according to production schedules and goals.  
  • Controlling overtime.  
  • Maintaining relations through regular pre-shift meetings with Sales & Management.  
  • Inspecting storage area to determine freshness of produce and indicates produce to be packed and removed. 
  • Carrying out company policies in a fair and uniform manner; enforces and maintains safety regulations.  
  • Checking time cards and production records of individuals, and maintains record of quality control.  
  • Developing/Enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and maintains quality and quantity standards of packing house grades and fruit.  
  • Supervision of employees includes resolving job problems, solving grievances, reviewing employee progress, taking disciplinary action or termination as needed.  
  • Coordinating preventative maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and manage equipment repairs to ensure uninterrupted operations.
