Young Guns, Inc., the premier grower-processor-shipper in Southern New Mexico is currently seeking a Logistics Manager to join our fast-paced sales team.
The successful candidate must be a dynamic individual with refrigerated, perishable or produce freight experience. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position offering a competitive salary.
Candidate must be self-motivated, able to multi task, a conscientious team player with excellent communication and computer skills. Candidate must also be available to travel between Young Guns, Inc.’s locations in Hatch and Deming, New Mexico. This position will be the account liaison; bringing customers, shippers and carriers together to move truckload and LTL volumes of dry, refrigerated and flatbed cargo.
- Experience booking refrigerated freight or produce highly desired (minimum of 2-3 years)
- Ability to quickly process information and make decisions
- Excellent communication skills-written, verbal and interpersonal
- Computer literate: Word, Excel, PTI compliant software, QuickBooks
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) is a plus

- Confirm and manager all carrier / broker insurance and bond information
- Provide professional customer service in a fast paced environment
- Negotiate rates / obtain lowest rates possible / document each load negotiated
- Confirm rates, ship dates, delivery times and delivery appointments
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal teams
- Assist with incoming calls in the Sales Office
