Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Description:

Wilson Produce is a grower, importer and distributor of fresh Mexican produce based in Nogales, Arizona. Originally started in 1937, today the company proudly operates under the 3^rd generation of family leadership. We distribute across the United States, into Canada and part of the U.K, specializing in winter vegetables.

We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to manage our Nogales, Arizona facility.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Check with sales every morning for special instructions
Retail orders
Staging product
Review inventory concerns
Print report every day (detail by commodity-variety date)
Review report with assistant (Hector Ortiz), dispatcher & QC Department on daily basis for inventory rotation.
Review staging of product
Review outgoing orders (retail, etc.)
Review temperature report & ozone report provided by QC Department on a daily basis
Check inbound trucks
Temperature on arrival being recorded for every truck
Pallet tags being applied correctly
Inbound pallets being stored correctly (in rotation sequence)
Outbound orders/trucks
Prioritize your orders
Rotation sequence being executed
Pallets in good condition
Inventory
Physical inventory on a daily basis
Check inventory balances and rotation, communicate process of rotation to staff in daily meeting
Walk through of warehouse
All units are running
All pallets stored correctly
Rooms clean – organized daily, finished by end of day
Establish work schedule
Monitor hours (overtime) to keep at minimum
Equipment maintenance
Establish logs for acidity and repairs
Minimize utility usage
No Wilson employee is to accept/receive any food, beverages, gifts from vendors, customers, visitors.
All gifts are to be routed through Upper management.
Implement Incident Report for damaged product
Implement Accident Report for injuries to employees
No audio devices in warehouse
No personal Cell Phones in working area
Truck Drivers to stand by truck during unloading
