Western Precooling is recruiting for a Services Manager to lead service operations for the Yuma/Mexico region of Western Precooling. Directs workforce of 15 to 20 employees that includes refrigeration service technicians, maintenance technicians and administrative personnel.  Manages Western Precooling’s operations in Mexico, primarily in the regions of Central Mexico (Guanajuato), San Luis Valley and the Baja peninsula.   This includes coordinating contractor work and ensuring our customer and partner’s needs are met.
 

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Prioritize and manage area workload and troubleshooting issues by coordinating technicians either directly or through Job Planner/Services Supervisor;
  • Maintain customer contact to ensure all requirements are being met;
  • Communicates with appropriate representatives from other areas on overall fleet maintenance and work coordination, as necessary;
  • Provide leadership and training environment for specific maintenance tasks;
  • Develops and supervises training programs for technicians, and personally participates in new-employee orientation and indoctrination programs when required;
  • Participate in team effort to evaluate recommend specific equipment upgrades;
  • Responsible for Yuma Shop  budget, including revenue for billable labor, expenses for payroll cost (direct and overhead), shop facility, tools and supplies;
  • In conjunction with the Engineering and Safety  departments,, ensure equipment and personnel meets all federal and state safety requirements, including DOT and IIAR inspections;
  • Works directly with Human Resources in employment activities, assuring that properly qualified technicians are recruited and hired for company positions;
  • Handle employee performance and discipline issues as needed, discipline accordingly;
  • Establishes and maintains effective channels of communications with the President, co-workers, clients, affiliates, vendors and all other business contacts;
Skills: 
  • Proven experience managing employees in a field and service shop environment.  Specifically, hiring, training and employee discipline;
  • Must be willing to do some travel in Mexico and must speak Spanish;
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and adjust tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities;
  • Must have excellent operational experience with administrative matters, i.e., management of operations, financial and managing employees;
  • Must be well organized, a self-starter, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration a plus;
  • Must be computer literate and have experience with personal computers;
  • Must be able to work with a variety of personalities in an effective manner.
