Vee's Marketing is a 25 year old produce brokerage company specializing in onions. We are PACA licensed, a DRC member, and Blue Book Trading Member since 2007. Vee's Marketing does well moving large volumes of onions by treating shippers, customers and transportation people respectfully and fairly. Our culture is fun, fast and loose, but we work hard.
For the first time in years, Vee's Marketing is looking to expand its sales team by adding an Onion Sales Person.
This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in onion sales to earn money for themselves selling onions with the support and integrity of Vee's Marketing behind them. Applicants must have enough experience in onions to quickly establish their own customer base and territory. And you can work from the comfort of your home office!
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, Load Link and freight management systems
- College / University or equivalent working experience
- Entrepreneurial spirit - organized, motivated and driven to achieve organizational objectives
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Prior produce experience in sales, 3-5 years highly desirable
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Must be energetic, confident and willing to work hard
- Professional and polished demeanor when working with others
- Build relationships with new customers through your extraordinary communication skills
- Generate a contact base of customers
- Manage new and existing corporate accounts
- Seek to improve sales revenue in line with established sales target
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- Help the development of business through inside sales
