Job Description:
Vaughan Foods is an Oklahoma-based processor and shipper of whole and value-added fresh fruits and vegetable products. We are looking for an energetic individual to lead our Quality Assurance group. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, willing to “make their mark” in a fast-paced and challenging industry.

Requirements:
- Minimum three year’s fresh-cut produce and/or fruit quality assurance experience
- Prior experience must include supervising at least four direct reports
- Possess a solid working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and SQF
- Ability to travel 1-3 days per month
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Spanish (spoken), preferred
- Knowledgeable and current in customer standards and governmental regulations relating to fresh produce and fresh-cut vegetable and fruit production
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Ability to create reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers, sales people and management
Responsibilities & Duties:
- General supervision and leadership of the Fresh-Cut QA department involving up to 20 team member positions including the selection, performance appraisal, training and scheduling of team.
- Develop and continuously adapt quality assurance programs to meet the needs of customers, regulatory requirements and management.
- Actively collaborate in product development, special projects and/or other strategic initiatives
- Provide regular and accurate reporting of objectives and key results to management
- Position reports to plant manager
Education:
- B.A. or B.S degree from a 4 year university or college – food or life sciences preferred
