We are currently looking for a Loader in Los Angeles, CA.
As the Loader, you will play an important role in the Company's operations. Your primary role is to build orders efficiently and accurately in a way that meets the customer's on-time delivery requirements. You will have a range of product knowledge, to be able to routinely verify the quality of the product. You also must be able to effectively utilize the Company's computer system, and the radio frequency bar code scanners for the picking, building, and loading of orders.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in produce
- Forklift and pallet jack certification
- Bilingual - Spanish preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Product knowledge covering a wide range of produce
- Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Initiative and good judgment
- Problem-solving skills
- Relationship building abilities
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments
- Math competency in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Produce Pro experience is beneficial/preferred
- Compliance with all Company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
- Use of Produce Pro RF scanners to pick, build, and load orders
- Effective pallet building to maximize space and protect product
- Excellent communication with Working Foreman to ensure that on-time delivery requirements are met
- Safe operation of facility equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Daily pre-inspection of assigned equipment
- Ongoing participation in training for continuous improvement of performance
- Cooperation with all Crew members and inter-Company departments
- Special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
