We’re currently seeking an experienced and highly organized individual for a new opportunity as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Santa Ana, CA. This individual will assist with all responsibilities related to maintaining control and accuracy of paperwork and operations in the produce shipping and receiving department.
- Process and prepare shipping and receiving documents
- Maintain function and appearance of work area
- Greet and process truck drivers
- Ensure all orders are completed correctly
- Prepare produce for shipping
- Evaluate produce received and shipped
- Ensure proper count and physical inspection of produce based on purchase orders
- Ensure all orders and products are shipped in a timely fashion
- Keep data and/or reports up to date with regards to shipments
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain clear and open communication with management
- 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving and inventory control in the produce industry
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- Highly developed skills in the areas of organization and communication
- Bilingual language skills a plus (English and Spanish)
- Problem resolution and customer service skills
- Experience working with inventory specific software programs
- Knowledge of common warehouse operations and procedures
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience/certification a plus
