For this opportunity we seek a motivated individual to maintain current accounts and develop new opportunities. The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic and experienced produce salesperson who is seeking a challenging opportunity in fresh produce.  You should be customer-focused with a belief in delivering quality client service while setting and achieving consistent sales goals. You should have excellent people skills and you should be a highly effective communicator.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Achieve budgeted sales volume objectives, market penetration, average sales price by product and ultimately, contribute to company profitability
  • Provide input as to relevant market information, strategies, visions and goals
  • Grow distribution and placement in both new and existing accounts
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base
  • Manage budgets to ensure effectiveness and meet area targets
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
  • Identify and analyze local market dynamics and pursue new opportunities
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
  • Interact up and down the supply chain to ensure successful relationships with our customers
Ideal Candidate: 

Our ideal candidate is proactive, focused, self-motivated and able to bring new customers to our business. You will be a problem-solver and motivated to work at a high level of efficiency. You should be up to the challenge of maintaining excellent client relationships at every step of the process. Ideally, you will have least 4 years of experience in the produce industry in a sales environment, and possess a positive, outgoing personality and a high level of drive and ambition.

Qualifications: 
  • At least 4 years of produce sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated to succeed and a desire to increase profitability for the business
  • Assertive problem solver who looks beyond the standard solutions to overcome challenges
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for business expansion within key customers
  • Strong skills in organization, planning, and analyzing
  • Negotiation skills with the ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines
  • Proven track record of strong produce sales
  • Attention to detail and good follow-through skills
  • Good knowledge of produce market trends and conditions
  • Ability to form good working relationships with team members
