United With Earth is a young and rapidly growing produce supplier. We are locally owned and operated in San Francisco’s bay area, and we distribute nationally and internationally from the Los Angeles produce terminal. Our focal products are Medjool dates and Persian cucumbers, with the ability to procure other items in accordance with customer demand.
We are looking for an outgoing early bird, preferably with experience in the produce industry, to join our team as an Account Representative in Emeryville, CA.
This individual will be responsible for building sales with existing customers, while maintaining and tracking purchase orders and coordinating shipment with dispatch and freight companies. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and analytical thinker with a background in produce and/or logistics. This is a full-time position, and compensation is negotiable and based on experience.
- Expand our growth opportunities within existing retail and wholesale accounts.
- Coordinate orders with the LA shipping terminal.
- Ensure that customer needs are being fulfilled while maintaining company objectives.
- Manage pricing with guidance from management.
- Participate and attend selected trade shows, and other industry events.
- Occasional local travel (must have a car, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance), including weekends.
- Build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within customer’s organizations.
- Maintain customer relations via phone, email, written and promotional media.
- Service existing accounts by advising of product availability, pricing, quality, delivery, and other key factors, and obtains orders.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints or concerns; advises management of any significant concern and provides recommendations for resolution or corrective measures.
- Able to work from home in the AM and some hours on Saturday and Sunday.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
