Sales Representative

Job Description: 

Tico Greens, Corp., is a young company in the produce industry. The company specializes in importing ginger and other products grown by a network of Associates in Peru. They are currently seeking an individual to fill its Sales Representative position in Miami, Florida.

The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Sales Representative who will be focused in delivering quality client service, while setting and achieving consistent sales goals.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Identifies new sales opportunities through lead generation, cold calling and prospecting.
  • Seek out and develop new customers.
  • Achieve budgeted sales, volume objectives and average sales price by product. Ultimately, contribute to company profitability.
  • Identify and analyze local and national market dynamics and pursue new opportunities.
  • Solve problems quickly by minimizing potential losses and/or maximizing profit possibilities.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records of all sales and customers.
  • Travel to customer locations as required.
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Skills: 
  • Must be Bilingual (English Spanish).
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office and general computer skills.
  • Minimum 12 (actual) years of education completed. (High School Diploma).
  • Knowledge and clear understanding of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, or PACA.

Qualifications: 
  • At least 3-5 years of produce sales experience. (2-3 with college degree).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated to succeed and a desire to increase profitability for the business.
  • Problem solver who looks beyond the standard solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for business expansion within key customers.
  • Strong skills in organization, planning, and analyzing.
  • Negotiation skills with the ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and good follow-through skills.
  • Good knowledge of produce market trends and conditions.
  • Ability to form good working relationships with team members.
  • College Degree in Marketing a plus!
