Taylor Farms Texas has a career opportunity available for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as Buyer in the Dallas, TX area.

As a Buyer you will be responsible for buying the necessary ingredients and packaging that is need to complete our products. You will keep track of the quantity and quality of purchased items to help maintain our high standards of products and inventory levels.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Purchasing experience in Produce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, able to work with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Email.
  • Qualified individuals will enjoy working in our fast paced environment and have the ability to effectively communicate and work well with others.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Estimating and purchasing of packing and ingredients as needed.
  • Managing and coordinating new packaging needs. 
  • Assist with daily order planners. 
  • Examine, select, order and purchase products at the most favorable price, consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other established factors.
  • Management of perishable inventory purchased by daily review of item usage, sales, inventory adjustments, and the creation of purchase orders to replenish inventory.
  • Interface with all departments and resolve problems and issues.
  • Must be able to build teams and establish relationships.
  • Work as a team with sales, warehousing, distribution and logistics.
  • Work in conjunction with senior management on any additional projects or needs.
