We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our National Deli team at Taylor Headquarters in Salinas, CA.

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for developing consistent data and metrics with the objective of streamlining purchasing processes and minimizing our cost of goods sold for the Prepared Foods organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong excel, communication, business writing, and analytical skills.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Economics, or other related field.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • SQL/database knowledge preferred.
  • Food industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with forecasting and reporting preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Must have a “can-do” attitude to work in a fast-paced environment that is evolving and growing.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; able to learn new programs.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Complete the development of national IDs for all raw, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Develop and manage a continuous program for all new items.
  • Analyze national data for trends and variances between commodities, vendors, and regions.
  • Assist commodity managers in gathering system data for national bids by looking at historical volumes, costs, commodity markets, and current supplier base.
  • Work with IT to build national procurement reporting beginning with commodity costs as a % of revenue by category and location, and define measurement to normalize data based on mix of finished goods.           
  • Work with buyers and vendors to gather information for national programs, including historical usages and forecasts.
  • This role will have the opportunity to support and potentially lead some national bids.
