Job Description:
Tambo Sur is an importer / exporter / distributor of fresh Asparagus, Peas, Citrus, Avocados, Grapes from Peru and Stone Fruit , Grapes from Chile. We are looking for a Sales specialist with a strong background in Sales on any of the products mentioned above. We could expand and bring other Products from other countries based on candidate’s experience; ideal candidate would have existing business relationships with retail produce buyers and chain store accounts.
Ideal Candidate should have current retail, wholesale and food service accounts. Maximize Company Sales and Profits through sales of exiting accounts, but mostly develop new accounts with strong emphasis on chain store business.
Compensation/Salary:
Compensation will depend on experience and qualifications
Requirements:
- Have at least 5 years produce sales experience or have an undergraduate college degree with some training and experience in Produce Sales environment.
- Understanding of the fresh foods supply-chain, annual supply / pricing dynamics, business operations, sales contract negotiation, distribution logistics, quality management and claims processing.
- Blueberry, Stone Fruit or Avocado Knowledge desired (not required but it would be advantageous)
- Computer Proficient, Microsoft Office software experience
- Strong Communication Skills
- Ability to work in a team, talent for making sales and aggressively develop new business.
- Have ability to solve problems, have industry contacts, positive attitude, responsible to work independently and strong work ethic.
