Job Description:
Star Nut Company is seeking multiple qualified walnut and almond buyers throughout (Northern, Central and Southern) California to purchase raw nuts directly from almond and walnut growers for our Stockton based processing and packing facility.
Our goal is to become one of the best processors of walnuts and almonds in California.
The ideal candidates will be highly motivated, independent individuals who will work out of their remote/home offices and procure products with grower contracts.

Requirements:
- Obtain the highest quality of walnuts and almonds available within an assigned territory, at the fair market price.
- Strong knowledge in varieties and harvesting periods for walnuts and almonds.
- Maintain contact and good working relationships with growers.
- Update the growers on market status and pricing.
- Provide feedback in regards to orchard conditions and grower attitudes.
- Coordinate logistics from Huller/Sheller to Star Nut.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of comparable experience.
- Good to excellent computer skills with the ability to gain knowledge of required software to ensure work flow.
- Excellent communication and real time follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain inter-department relationships that are critical for success.
- Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Clean driving record a must.
