The Procurement/Category Manager will be responsible for negotiating a competitive cost of goods as well as developing and maintaining rapport with growers, shippers, and other vendors. The Procurement/Category Manager will also create logistical efficiencies throughout the supply chain.

- Assist the National Director of Procurement.
- Work in a multi-task/rapid paced environment

- Daily contact with customers of various sizes, building relationships, problem solving and assessing their produce needs.
- Source carriers and products in order to accommodate each client’s needs.
- Handle the day-to-day challenges that are presented in the transportation industry.
- Three-dimensional role involving buying, selling and logistical problem solving.
- Ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
- Ensuring suppliers meet the quality and design standards for all products.
- Process paperwork i.e. passing’s, PO, etc…
- Assist in sourcing product, packaging, logistics, and growing sales.
The ideal candidate is a produce procurement professional with 7 to 10 years experience or more. This person has a "can-do" attitude and is self-motivated, while working well within a team. He/she is a problem solver, and has the ability to find opportunities within challenges. This person knows how to start and develop solid relationships with suppliers, customers and team members.
A minimum of 5+ years of fresh produce procurement experience, showing progressive increases in responsibilities and performance.
