Responsibilities & Duties: 

Responsible for accurate order filling and loading of trucks. Receiving and lotting of incoming products, proper rotation and warehouse condition.

  • Ownership for leading, developing and managing all operations personnel through all selecting, receiving and shipping functions
  • Own and manage to the annual warehouse operations budget with the support of the Warehouse Manager
  • Provides leadership and direction to the dock dispatcher, receiving supervisor(s), selectors and receivers
  • Manages the proper receiving of all inbound products and provides support to help ensure that all products received are within company quality standards
  • Manages the accurate order selection (product and assembly) and owns responsibility to complete paperwork accurately.
  • Directs the proper loading of all orders onto outbound trucks ensuring that all products are safely secured and per driver specifications.
  • Hire, train and develop warehouse personnel  staff to build bench strength and encourage growth within the company
  • Ensures strict adherence to GMP’s, HACCP and food safety policies and procedures.
  • Ownership for managing proper rotation of all commodities at all times throughout the warehouse.
  • Must have an understanding of product quality specifications across all commodities in the warehouse
  • Conducts a daily warehouse walk a minimum of 3 times per day reviewing safety compliance, food safety compliance, proper product rotation, maintenance issues, and general warehouse conditions
  • Timely interdepartmental communication on shipping related issues
  • Responsible for conducting, reconciling and maintaining accurate inventory
  • Flexible shift hours and ability to multi-task are required
  • Attend meetings and/or training classes when required
Education: 
  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or commensurate work experience
Qualifications: 
  • Ability to work in a cold environment (34 – 55 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height and above
  • At least 5 years of warehouse operations experience (management experience preferred)
  • Must be able to operate different types of equipment such as electric pallet jack, sit-down forklift, and tractor or yard-dog.
  • Produce industry and/or training preferred
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Current Certificate in forklift driving
  • Food Safety and Produce Quality a plus
