Facilities Manager

Job Description: 

Southern Specialties was founded in 1990 by Robert Colescott, President and CEO of the company. Our mission was to provide the finest restaurants and hotels in the nation with the best quality specialty produce. After years of success as a grower and supplier to the foodservice industry, we expanded our product line to include a variety of offerings for the retail sector.

We are currently seeking a Facilities Manager in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Education: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • A US Resident or have Permanent Alien status
  • Bilingual Ability preferred (English/Spanish).
Qualifications: 
  • A minimum of 5 years warehouse maintenance experience, Produce experience A+
  • Must be strong minded, self disciplined, flexible, and adaptable to change
  • Knowledge and certification HVAC
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technology
  • OSHA Certification
  • Knowledge of recycling g management
  • Knowledge of refrigeration
  • Knowledge of chilled water systems
  • Knowledge of Food Safety
  • Knowledge of PPE
  • Knowledge of Hydro Cooler Sanitation
  • Able to conduct Pre/Post operations inspections
  • Able to Operate/Certified Forklift/ Pallet Jack
  • Order Sanitation Supplies
  • Manage a crew of 10 employees
  • Able to work in cold Environment (34-55 degrees)
  • Able to lift 50lbs
