Job Description:
Russ Davis Wholesale is an employee owned fresh produce distributor that is dedicated to customer service and quality products. The company is determined to continually improve and find better ways to serve our customers, and understand their individual needs.
We currently have an opening for a Production Manager in Eagan, MN, whose primary responsibility is to oversee the operations of a fresh cut produce department.

Requirements:
- HACCP, SQF and Fresh Cut Trainings preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years supervisory or management experience in the food processing industry; fruit and vegetable experience is ideal
- Experience with the manufacturing processes and continuous improvement - knowledge of lean methodology preferred
- Experience in budgeting and resource planning
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams to deliver results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative management style and excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership in food safety, consumer safety, and employee safety
- Project Management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Direct and manage the daily operations of the plant with a focus on quality and safety
- Develop efficiency strategies to ensure the plant meets production goals at minimal manufacturing costs
- Promote operational improvements throughout the facility
- Oversee team - responsible for employee development, performance management and staffing
- Maintain the existing plant facilities and equipment - replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Coach, motivate and engage employees in all aspects of operations to support company culture
- Collaborate with all levels of the organization including plant employees, support functions, management, and the executive leadership team
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws such as OSHA, FDA and USDA
