Job Description: 

Rocket Farms is the nation’s top grower for Orchids, Potted Herbs, Miniature Roses, potted Christmas Trees and a unique assortment of other flowers and indoor plants, including Bamboo, Cactus & Succulents, and Venus Fly Traps among others.  With over 10 greenhouse growing facilities throughout the California coast, Rocket Farms manages over 8.3 million square feet of growing space, making us the third largest greenhouse grower in the United States.  We provide high quality products across multiple retail channels and regional retailers across the country.  We are committed to providing innovative product solutions that pair superior plant materials with uniquely designed decorative containers and accessories.

The Administrative Executive Assistant will perform an array of administrative tasks while assuming a leadership role in assigned projects. This position provides a high level of administrative support that includes preparing and editing correspondence, communications and other documents on behalf of the President. Will also follow up on action items, maintain filing system, schedule appointments and travel arrangements for executive and management team members.

Position Reports to: 
President, Rocket Farms
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Screen phone calls and manage schedule and appointments for President.
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information
  • Manage and maintain various confidential files, expense reports and other management activities
  • Manage special, nonrecurring and ongoing projects which could require assembling project plans and teamwork assignments
  • Direct and monitor work efforts on a daily basis
  • Identify resource needs, perform quality review and escalate functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately
  • Coordinate Executive Committee meetings, special events, customer and/or internal team meetings and all hospitality events; including logistics and catering needs
  • Assist with the overall appearance of the office and facility
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Education: 
  • Equivalent of four years in high school and two years of college, plus 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
