Warehouse Supervisor (Entry Level)

Job Description: 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of a highly-productive facility, overseeing receiving, quality control, re-packing, and shipping functions as directed by the facility manager.  You’ll assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure that the location is in full compliance with Food Facility Safety regulatory standards and policy.  You’ll be expected to learn and understand all the Facility Manager’s functions as it relays to current and day-to-day operations of receiving, repacking, shipping, and inventory control so as to be able to act in the manager’s absence.

Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree preferred and/or minimum 3 years’ in a similar position

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Execute the standard quality checks in both written and EXCEL form.
  • Collaborate with all the sales teams that used the facility and other CH Robinson quality personnel on specific issues.
  • Collaborate with USDA inspectors for needed quality federal inspections.
  • Execute field and local warehouse quality checks in coordination with the facility manager, quality manager, and sales team members. 
  • Supervise those personnel assigned to you as on a temporary basis.
  • Conduct inventories as established in the Standing Operating Procedures.
  • Learn all the basic functions of the day to day operations of the facility to include, receiving, quality, repacking, shipping, and maintenance. 
  • Learn produce industry and regulations.
  • Ability to compile information from various corporate departments Uses skill in exercising initiative with resourcefulness, sound judgment and an ability to solve problems and make independent decisions.
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for coordinating work efforts with other managers, employees and organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including GroupWise, Word and Excel.
