Robinson Fresh has nationwide opportunities for Produce Key Account Managers.

The Produce Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing the overall produce business activity with heavy emphasis on retail customer development; creating sales leads, targeting and soliciting new accounts, with face to face meetings and presentations to existing and new accounts. 

The position will identify, develop and execute a growth strategy for an assigned key vertical (retail, food service or wholesale) focused on the core business models of procurement, supply chain management, grower sales programs, and transportation modes, along with logistics.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Create structure & accountability around Business Development and Sales with current and new customers, with a set of nonnegotiables.
  • Develop and foster networks among divisions and the enterprise as a whole with Business Development leadership.
  • Participate in annual trade shows and conferences. (PMA, United Fresh etc.).
  • Provide budgetary planning, strategic planning and multi-year goal setting strategies.
  • Solicit new business through outside and internal channels.
  • Work with Account Managers and CRTeam to further penetrate existing accounts and cross sell all Service Lines.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process for newly generated business\accounts.
  • Stay informed on advances and trends within the produce, transportation, and supply chain industries.
  • Maintain a monthly sales journal.
  • Manage marketing, sales and overall business development strategies.
  • Manage business development staff.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Preferred 5 years of produce sales experience.
  • Established track record for business account development
  • Strong sales relationship building skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and other business technologies.
  • Ability to effectively influence others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong power point capabilities.
  • Ability to travel 50% (26 weeks) per year as needed.
