Job Description:
The primary function is to provide data support to the Albertsons Southern California Produce and Floral Team at a corporate level. This role could potential result in a full-time opportunity.
Requirements:
- Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Must be organized, a self-starter and have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to set priorities and then be able to change directions and re-set priorities as needed
- Must exhibit the ability to remain focused on priorities amidst frequent interruptions
- Must demonstrate good problem solving and analytical techniques
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Driving requiring up-to-date car insurance
- Lift up to 50lbs.
- Office environment (sitting at desk eighty percent (80%) of the day)
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Compile, format, and distribute Sales Internal Weekly Report
- Provide backup support for Pricing Manager and Business Support Manager
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Performs data entry using excel spreadsheets and/or database commands. Formats material as required.
- Creates and maintain produce and floral item text files used for internal data systems
- Enters, revises and /or combines materials such as competitive retailer ads, generated reports, and weekly ad tracking in one central location.
- Performs weekly competitive retail market visits. Collects and documents competitive pricing and promotional activity.
- Review discrepancies in data retrieved, requests clarification or advises supervisor of issues related to data and performs data verification
- Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data flow and makes recommendations for improvement or enhancement to job processes to ensure standards in data entry, collection and retrieval.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Supports and leads special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned and specified by supervisor in line with Department and company needs.
Education:
- AA Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as Data Entry Clerk
- Computer Proficient – Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Intranet
