Key Account Manager

Job Description: 

Pure Fresh, LLC is a grower, shipper, and exported of specialty fruits and vegetables. When you buy from Pure Fresh, you are buying direct from the grower with over 20 years of experience. We control every step of the supply chain with the highest quality and food safety standards. We are a leader in the industry in cold chain management and customer development. With offices and operations in various countries we supply markets in North American and Europe.

We are expanding our sales team and are looking for a professional and experienced Sales person in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. The Selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts, and developing new customer and grower accounts. Maintaining and increasing sales of Pure Fresh product line to key accounts as identified by the company. Continue to increase customer base with profitable customers. The position involves buying, selling and distributing fresh produce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, sell and distribute product.
  • Execute daily, seasonal and annual sales to Key Retail, Food Service and Wholesales accounts
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers negotiating commodities, pricing, and pickup/delivery schedules.
  • Expedite delivery of product by communicating with buyers, vendors and transportation companies.
  • Ensure all accounts have a satisfactory completion of orders and prompt follow-up.
  • Manage and maintain customer and grower accounts
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Perform all necessary data entry / call customers on all past due orders.
  • Work closely with operations, coordinate and monitor logistics and shipping.
  • Successfully resolve problems with delivery, supply, invoicing, and rejections.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, providing solutions, preparing repots, and making recommendations to management.
  • Resolve adjustment returns
  • Work with team on any changes and movement in product availability, product allocation, quality, transportation, delivery & receipt.
  • Manage promotional programs with key retail accounts.
  • Prospecting and developing new customers
  • Face to face meetings and presentations with prospective clients and suppliers and preparation of material needed for presentations.
  • Responsible for all customer paperwork (bills ladings, invoices, etc.)
  • Responsible for new account paperwork (vendor packets, insurance, etc)
  • Meet established quarterly sales goals for key accounts and develop on-going strategies with each account.
  • Manage pricing and inventories for highest return to grower, monitoring sales through final payment.
  • Update sales team on daily market conditions on pricing, product quality, demand, supply, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Manage and develop new relationships with strong retail, wholesale and foodservice accounts.
  • Develop sales programs for Key Accounts, using all Pure Fresh products.
  • Works with senior management and administrative staff on additional projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous produce sales experience (minimum of 5 years) and knowledge of the produce industry.
  • Experience in berries and specialty items
  • Effective communication skills, strong customer skills, team oriented.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, good decision making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, and above average problem solving and analytical skills
