Job Description: 

Provide leadership for national sales organization to maximize package sales, grower returns, and drive profitability. Responsible for customer management, customer development, and the implementation of tactical sales goals to achieve the desired results. Responsible for promoting and enhancing both internal and external customer service, sales performance, and achieving unit sales and margin budgets through effective leadership of the sales team.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Establish and lead an effective sales team through recruitment, coaching, training, prospecting and rewarding of sales staff.
  • Maintain existing customers and revenue, develop and grow both existing and new customer business, harbor and grow relationships through the sales staff.
  • Sales team administration: manage accounts receivables, personnel scheduling, expense and travel budgets, weekly and monthly reports, sales forecasts, and other reports as requested by upper management.
  • Responsible for monitoring and control of gross profit margin, package sales volume, customer credit and payment history, for all customers.
  • Provide strategies for sales growth with existing accounts.
  • Visit accounts as necessary to enhance business relationships, resolve issues, and grow sales.
  • Act as Inside/Outside Sales representative.
  • Obtain feedback from customers regarding sales team effectiveness, professionalism, and knowledge.
  • Participate and contribute in sales and other business meetings.
  • Perform all responsibilities in an ethical manner and in accordance with PROSOURCE company policies.

  • Able to develop and execute sales strategies and account planning to exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to be forward thinking, to anticipate potential issues, identify potential opportunities, and to overcome obstacles that might inhibit success.
  • Able to perform effectively in a highly dynamic environment, with constantly changing priorities and tasks that need to be addressed in a timely manner (multi-tasking).
  • Able to develop and maintain positive and effective internal/external working relationships with diverse groups of customers, employees, and upper management.
  • Ability to drive sales in a production based, customer influenced environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Competent computer skills, including various sales software and cloud based systems, Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook; able to adapt to and learn new applications and technology as necessary. 

Candidate must able to relocate to Hailey, ID.

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in the fresh produce industry.
  • 5+ years of sales and management experience, preferably in production based (farming, packing) sales.
  • Proven competency working with and directing sales teams to achieve desired goals and results.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge with FOB commodity markets.
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge with freight markets and delivered sales.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PACA guidelines and rules.
  • Competent computer skills, including various sales software and cloud based systems, Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook; able to adapt to and learn new applications and technology as necessary.
  • English/ Spanish.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
