Job Description:
This individual will maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve the mechanical processes of the equipment/facilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Troubleshoot, repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform minor building repair, plumbing and maintenance.
- Perform housekeeping duties in work area.
- Troubleshoot computer-controlled devices.
- Follows all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and PPE. Reports any injury, accident or unsafe condition immediately to supervisor.
- Follows all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes) Monitors and corrects violations in assigned area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of GMPs, HACCP, Allergen Awareness & Quality/Hold procedures
- Knowledge of proper Cleaning and Sanitation Procedures
- Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Procedures
- Knowledge and understanding SQF Overview
- Knowledge and understanding of Management Commitment
- Knowledge and understanding to report any Food Safety issues
Organizational Relationships:
- Position reports to: Warehouse Manager/ Asst. Manager
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude to understand and effect equipment operation.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. throughout the work day.
- Ability to complete required documentation.
- Must be able to wear company-provided uniform.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
