Account Manager/Outside Sales Representative

Job Description: 

ProducePay is a new financing solution providing farmers, who grow fresh fruits and vegetables, with immediate access to liquidity for enhanced cash flow. 

We are hiring an Account Manager/Outside Sales Representative to call on growers and shippers/marketers/distributors and offer them our financing services. The ideal candidate will have an extensive network of connections in the industry to reach out to, have worked in the fresh produce industry for 5-10 years in a sales capacity and ideally have some financial services sales experience.

ProducePay is based in the financial district in downtown Los Angeles, but the position can be remote. It is funded by venture capital and one of the highest growth companies in the financial technology space.

Requirements: 
  • 2 + years of proven direct sales experience in the fresh produce industry 
  • Ideal candidate will have sales experience in fresh produce and financial services
  • In-depth produce industry knowledge and experience
  • Extensive network of connections in the produce industry
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Self-starter who has the passion and determination to work hard and meet or exceed goals
  • High-energy and passionate about accomplishing sales goals
  • Excellent selling skills and an ability to adapt to different customer types
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Intermediate), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Intermediate)
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Communicate with growers and distributors on ProducePay financing offerings
  • Candidate can ideally bring an established potential customer network. These can be domestic or international
  • Solicitation of new accounts through phone calls, presentations, trade shows, as well as the candidate’s existing network
  • Provide input as to relevant market information, strategies, visions and goals for growth
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
  • Communicate with staff with daily updates
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to Mexico (occasional travel)
  • Plan and organized a daily work schedule to visit existing and potential customers
  • Daily marketing support to establish and increase new customers
  • Sales tracking, forecasting, and reporting
