Job Description:
Produce West Inc. supplies the country’s top retailers and wholesalers with quality produce every single day. We have a top-notch team in Salinas, California and we're currently seeking to hire a motivated and experienced Sales Assistant to provide support to our busy sales office.
The best candidates for this position will have experience in the produce industry and will be able to efficiently manage communications and information flow with suppliers, distributors, customers and the procurement team, including daily pricing/market run-down and daily contract pricing.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- General sales team support
- Prepare documents for USA and Canadian shipments
- Manage and update Workflow as assigned
- Support the procurement team by performing other duties as assigned
- Occasional Accounting support
- Answer phone calls in a professional, courteous manner and assist customers whenever appropriate.
- Work effectively with sales personnel to resolve any issues
- Implement quick decisions and problem solving in the sudden and unplanned situations that can occur in produce sales
- Provide professional customer service in a fast paced environment, with a focus on process improvement and contribution to improving teamwork and workflow
