Sales & Account Development Manager

Job Description: 

Produce for Kids is a cause marketing company that helps families eat healthier, raises funds for children's charities and increases sales of partners' products. We are currently seeking a full-time Sales & Account Development Manager responsible for overall vendor relations and sell-in of Produce for Kids multiple promotions.

Applicant must have 2 – 3 years of proven, successful sales experience in the grocery retail industry. Background in the produce industry is preferred.  

This position will report directly to the Vice President and will be required to work independently to sell-in the various marketing promotions that Produce for Kids runs throughout the year. This position will also manage the production and execution of the marketing components of each program.

Applicant will be responsible for:

  • Sell-in of vendor participation for multiple, yearly marketing promotions (8 – 10 sponsors per retail campaign)
  • Maintaining ongoing, positive relationships with multiple vendor and retail partners
  • Coordinating and following up with sponsor contracts
  • Maintaining various industry distribution lists
  • Identifying new potential retail and vendor partners
  • Researching retail partner backgrounds, latest industry news, and consumer trends prior to sales meetings to allow for more informed presentations
  • Building sales presentations as needed
  • Coordinating and following up with sponsor contracts
  • Coordinating creative direction, printing, and shipping of signage and other marketing materials
  • Developing timelines and deadlines for campaign flow and execution
  • Coordinating the execution of in-store signage placement during promotions
  • Maintaining ongoing, positive relationships with multiple install companies and 3rd party vendors
  • Coordinating sponsor invoicing and following up on payment
  • Creating and distributing direction and memos for campaigns
  • Identifying additional opportunities for Produce for Kids presence in in-store campaigns
  • Coordinating multiple, yearly trade show events
  • Coordinating fulfillment and shipping of promotional items, sweepstake prizes, and misc. correspondence to suppliers and vendors.
  • Participating in various social media efforts aimed at building and maintaining relationships with partners
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Managing and completing special projects as needed

Requirements

  • 4- year, college degree in marketing, communications, or business required
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a sales role in the grocery retail industry required
  • Background in the produce industry is preferred
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal  communication skills
  • Must have high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must have project management experience
  • Must have experience in maintaining a Google drive with multiple shared documents
  • Must have experience in multiple social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, and SnapChat
  • Must have experience with calendar management and scheduling appointments
  • Must be able to prioritize,  work independently, and manage time efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented
