Quality Control Inspector

Job Description: 

Procacci Brothers is one of the largest wholesale produce and floral providers in North America, catering to the wholesale, retail, and foodservice segments of the food industry. Our comprehensive array of services up-and-down the produce supply chain includes wholesale, direct-store-distribution, cold storage, and customized packaging/labeling programs. We work with wholesalers, chain and independent retailers, as well as restaurants and chains in the foodservice industry.

We are rapidly growing and we are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a background in produce to help sustain the momentum.

As a Quality Control Inspector you will be responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests on product to ensure that all inbound and outbound product meet standards of quality and safety.

Requirements: 
  • Ability to multi-task while prioritizing inspections to fit company needs
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent communication and written skills
  • Must-have prior experience in the fresh-produce industry (previous interaction with USDA preferred)
  • Working knowledge of good delivery guidelines for fresh produce

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Conducting routine inspections of incoming and outbound loads of fresh produce
  • Rate products according to industry and governmental standards and resolve quality issues
  • Provide detailed written qualitative and quantitative reports of all inspected product
  • Communicate and coordinate findings with buyers’/sales personnel to determine disposition
