Potandon Produce L.L.C., the Idaho Falls based distributor of Green Giant Fresh potatoes and onions is seeking qualified applicants for a Production and Sales Coordinator position. This position will require the candidate to split their time between our Idaho office and our Dalhart, TX facility – the majority of the time spent in Texas. This position will also require extensive travel.
Prior experience in fresh/processed vegetable production or a four year degree in Agriculture or Ag Business preferred.

Primary Function:
- Work with Operations and Sales in the planning, organizing and scheduling of all fresh warehouse operations in the Larsen Dalhart Texas Facility.
- Analyze and assist the Facility in operation and production efficiencies.
- Understand customer needs, requirements and realistic delivery of those needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the current production facility as well as internally with all departments within Potandon.
Warehouse Operations
- Assist in making decisions regarding production scheduling and quality.
- Main point of contact regarding run schedules and balancing orders in respect to price and volume and heading off quality and shipping issues.
- Work with sheds and QA to resolve quality or production problems.
Business and Financial Planning
- Contribute to the annual planning and projections.
- Assist Manager or Variety Operations in implementation of new programs, systems, machinery and equipment additions or changes.
- Assist Packaging Manager in all aspects of packaging pertaining to the Facility.
Variety Operations
- Assist Variety Business Manager in developing, maintaining and projecting financial statements.
- Develop/Analyze reports to help management run the overall business.
- Maximize pack-out for profitability and balance that with customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties related to varieties and the Dalhart Facility as required.
- Assist Texas Agronomist to maximize crop potential.
- Assist in the management of supplies so that each season finishes in a timely manner.
Sales Support
- Give support to sales staff by acting as liaison between Potandon Sales staff and the Facility.
- Proactively work with Sales and Production on supply, shipping and quality issues.
- Responsible to move floor inventory.
- B.S. Degree in Agriculture or Ag. Business and/or equivalent work experience in fresh/processed vegetable production or QA required.
Minimum:
- B.S. Degree in Agriculture or Ag. Business and/or equivalent work experience in fresh/processed vegetable production or QA required.
- Working knowledge of USDA potato grade specifications.
- Strong people skills with ability to deal with confrontation effectively.
- Effective communication and strong computer skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Background in Famous preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
