Client Services Coordinator

Job Description: 

Since 1908, Pero Family Farms has been producing the highest quality food, both ethically and sustainably. We are seeking a Client Services Coordinator in our Delray Beach, FL location. The Client Services Coordinator will be responsible and accountable for the necessary functions requested to provide support to the Client Services team while learning and developing the understanding of all products, services, and processes within the organization. This includes sole responsibility for data entry and coordinating necessary communication to assure all orders are followed through from placement of order, shipment, trouble shooting, and invoicing. Interaction is needed with diverse departments within the Pero organization and customers, while learning the proper channels to communicate the needs of the sales team is important to understand and practice.

Requirements: 
  • Fresh Produce (Sales and/or Production) experience is desired, but not required.
  • Desire to learn and ability to ask questions.
  • Analytical and attention to detail.
  • Strong multi-tasker who can prioritize projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and general communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Computer skills Excel, Word, Power Point, Famous, I-trade, Foodlink, and others as needed.
  • Aware of the “big picture” while maintaining focus on the details and how they relate.
  • Ability to remove road blocks, ask for help and take tasks and projects to fruition.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Excellent sales skills.

Miscellaneous: 
Hours are generally 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday (flexibility is required)
8:00 am to 11:00 am every other Saturday or as directed

Responsibilities & Duties: 

Phase One:

This is an introductory level into the Client Services Department and the goals of this position are to:

  • Learn and understand the customers’ needs and business models within your defined category team as we grow (Willingness to cross train with other Coordinators and their accounts is important for filling in during absences and vacations, etc.).
  • Learn and understand how the structure of Pero operates on both a daily and weekly basis.
  • To become educated and familiar with the diverse products, services, and processes that the office and Pero companies offer to our customers and vendors.  
  • To be willing and able to move up the corporate structure of the sales team (This can be further discussed and determined on an individual basis of desire and qualifications).

 
Client Services Coordinator Primary Functions:

  • Assist and train other support service staff and sales representatives to ensure all sales processes are complete and customers’ needs are met.
  • Proactively answer phones.
  • Assist in trouble reports and placement of rejected products.
  • Assist with tasks and/or projects as asked.
  • Backup to Directors, Managers, and Coordinators during company trips, customer visits, meetings, vacations, etc.
