Job Description:
Pacific Produce is a wholesale distributor of high quality fruits and vegetables, dairy and other related grocery items to Bay Area Restaurants, Caterers and Grocery Stores. We take pride in our knowledge, experience, attention to detail and strong customer service. We have an immediate need for a dependable, experienced, service oriented Order Fulfillment Supervisor. PRODUCE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Requirements:
- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Good Communication skills – must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- High attention to detail
- Previous produce industry experience a must
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Warehouse environment – Cold temperatures
- Graveyard Shift
- Standing, Lifting up to 50lbs, twist/turn, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, step up/step down, balance, reach upward, reach forward, wrist rotation, grasping, pinching, pushing and pulling objects.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsible for reviewing select customer orders including:
- Review orders for customer specifications as to brand & quality. Review individual items to ensure that the established quality standards are met.
- Review select customer orders for completeness ensuring that there are no missing items or incorrect quantities.
- Purchase missing items from Bay Area produce markets.
- Inspect product as it arrives and load onto delivery truck.
- Purchase level of quality needed for select accounts from produce markets.
- Work with order entry to ensure correct pricing.
- Pull and load orders as needed
- Prep in advance special products for use by select accounts the following day.
- Mark and segregate items in staging area.
- Review inventory and point out quality issues to management
- Manage select customer order fulfillment staff/porters
- Train drivers and porters on selecting quality items, account specifications and correct ways to measure and box items
