Pacific Coast Fruit Company is a local, family owned produce distributor that has proudly served our Pacific Northwest retail, wholesale and food service customers since 1977. We are now one of the largest independent produce distributors in the Northwest with distribution centers in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington.

We are well positioned to capitalize and lead industry growth and consolidation.  Our business continues to grow both in the Northwest and into Canada, elevating the need to maintain strategic and controlled growth, while understanding the culture and dynamics of each market segment.

Our growth continues to expand in multiple areas including retail, organic, wholesale, chain store, DSD, fresh cut processing, institutional, schools, government, food service and the expansion of the Canadian supply chain.

We are currently seeking an experienced and creative Wholesale Account Manager to take our wholesale business to the next level in Seattle, WA.

As the Wholesale Account Manager you are responsible for achieving sales objectives consistent with company volume and profit targets, while offering the highest level of customer service, teamwork and integrity.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of produce sales experience including new business development 
  • Great reputation and network with produce customers located within the Seattle market
  • High School diploma or GED, college degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain an effective high closing ratio in sales
  • Experience in negotiating pricing
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter, able to work efficiently with and without direct supervision
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities and meet target goals
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required. 
  • Spanish language skills desired
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, with emphasis in Excel
  • Valid drivers’ license and clean DMV

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Aggressively build and maintain a strong customer base, and meet sales, service and profit goals
  • Work with the sales manager to create a sales strategy and forecast
  • Work collaboratively with buyers and sales teams to communicate product and competitive information
  • Alert customers to any important opportunities, quality issues, or pricing concerns
  • Resolve customer concerns by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations
  • Assist the transportation department in managing service levels and customer expectations
  • Perform work at a level which promotes a positive image of Pacific Coast Fruit Company within the organization and the marketplace
