Financial Planning Analyst

Job Description: 

We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Planning Analyst in Salinas, California.

Supports management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating financial information and recommending actions. The applicant will be self-motivated and able to work independently, reporting to the corporate controller and president.

Corporate Controller / President
Compensation/Salary: 
$85K to 90K DOE
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Defines financial situation by competing quantitative and qualitative analysis of current business segments and future business expansion.
  • Identifies and continually refines Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s} for measurement of sales growth, market share, employee and location performance.
  • Evaluates alternative plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns.
  • Values business segments by assessing current conditions and product mix.
  • Assess value and potential of future investments.
  • Assemble, verify and build a financial database to monitor equipment and other asset utilization.
  • Recommends financial actions by assessing options and how they relate to PAR's goals.
  • Prepares financial reports and projections by collecting, analyzing and presenting information to management.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all company financial information.
  • Pursues on going education and self-improvement through technical publications and workshops.
  • Contributes to the PAR team by performing duties in a timely, professional and cooperative manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Skills: 

Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient in accounting software (MS Excel, Quickbooks, etc.) Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite.

Environment:

  • Work time is mainly in an office environment.
  • Regular time is spent on the computer and phone.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Travel

  • This job does not require routine travel.
Qualifications: 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar work environment with a proven track record of successful financial analysis, effective decision-making and excellent people skills.
  • Tracking budget expenses, financial modeling, statistical analysis, data base design, strategic planning, cost accounting, cost benefit analysis, reporting results.
