Job Description: 

Pace International manufactures and distributes high quality agricultural products that work to maintain the beauty and integrity of processed tree fruit and vegetable commodities and to extend the shelf-life of produce available locally and internationally.

Work from home and join the Pace team as the Sales Account Manager for the Southern US Region. 

The Sales Account Manager is PACE to our customers, as they are the first line of contact.  Thus, the Sales Account Manager must maintain a professional appearance and represent Pace in a professional manner at all times.  The Sales Account Manager has “bottom-line” responsibility for the ultimate satisfaction of the customer and distributors, (if applicable).

The primary responsibility of the Sales Account Manager is to meet and exceed budgeted sales revenue figures, and insure customer satisfaction.

Requirements: 
  • College Degree (preferred) in agriculture or related field.
  • 2-5 years minimum sales experience in the agriculture chemical products.
  • Good technical base in produce processing, crop economics.
  • Computer literate.
  • Heavy travel schedule (both overnight and otherwise) may be required.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Work closely with assigned customers and target customers through regular sales calls, meetings, and related selling activities.
  • Monitor the performance of Pace’s products at the customer level, and communicate with Tech, Service or Engineering any corrective actions that need to be taken in order to maximize their performance.
  • Establish a territory management plan and maintain a “target account” list.
  • Develop a sales action plan, by product, including customer strategies that accomplish territory annual plan sales volumes and gross margin objectives.
  • Discuss with supervisor, in advance, all sales pricing deviations.
  • Target accounts: understand customer needs, match needs with Pace products, prepare margins analysis, prepare and propose contract (including equipment and after-sales follow-up).
  • Keep team informed of all important industry and market development through weekly reports.
  • Communicate activities to supervisor via timely emails and remain in contact with customers and PACE personnel. Ensure coverage of active and current projects during absences.
  • Participate in annual budgeting process by providing sales projections and personal expense budget.  Provide timely and accurate product forecast updates monthly.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of product marketing programs for both existing and new products.  Maintain a current market analysis, with market share statistics. Continually seek and provide input on new sales and product opportunities.
  • Represent Pace in industry related associations and territory based trade shows to enhance visibility, build customer relations and maximize selling opportunities. Assist marketing team  in planning such activities.
