We are searching for a highly-organized Human Resources Manager to join our team in Santa Maria, CA,

As the Human Resource Manager you are responsible for overseeing the HR department by providing practical, consistent, and proactive support, direction, and advice to other managers on HR procedure, policy, best practices, and employment rewards.  You are also responsible for managing the hiring, recruitment, training, terminations, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and worker health and safety of our employees.

You will consult and assist all levels of management to ensure that uniform standards of working hours, overtime, vacations, leaves of absence, severance pay, holidays, and related policy areas are maintained.  Additionally, you are responsible for counseling management and employees on all disciplinary actions and performance problems, and assures that congruent action taken is fair and equitable across the company.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
  • At least five years’ experience gained through management positions within human resources.
  • Insurable DMV Record.
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills necessary in order to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the company.
  • Participative management style and an advocate of the team concept.
  • Conflict resolution, problem solving and mediation skills.
  • Able to interpret implement legislation and policies.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Will supervise the Human Resources Department, consisting of three other employees.
  • Administers all aspects of the HR Department.
  • Manages Injury IIPP Program.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the human resources function and directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance.
  • Manages Workers Compensation Program.
  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
  • Assists with wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee benefit programs and services, and company safety and health programs.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by senior management.
