Warehouse Cooler Supervisor

Job Description: 

We partner with Latin America growers to offer a complete portfolio of organic and conventional herbs to U.S. clients and their customers. Located strategically in Miami, the epicenter of Latin American imports, we sell product directly from our farms which grow and maintain the harvest with the highest care. We are in the business of providing the freshest herbs by shipping directly from the farm to the door of our clients.

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Cooler Supervisor for our Miami, FL location.

The ideal candidate will oversee the day to day operations in shipping, receiving, quality and inventory to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment for order fulfillment of perishables. The supervisor provides leadership and direction to the warehouse/shipping department in areas of responsibility including administration, scheduling employees, sanitation, quality, safety and environmental. Knowledgeable of fresh herbs is a plus.

Requirements: 
  • General knowledge of fresh produce industry
  • Intermediate computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) recommended
  • Strong attention to detail and solid written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Applicant must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. boxes

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

  • Ability to work in 34-36 degree temperature for long period of times
  • Ability to read specification sheets that come down the line for different orders. 
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Operate an electric pallet jack and forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Palletizing
  • Pulling Orders
  • Administer quality control of incoming/outgoing product. If there is a doubt about quality, ask superior.
  • Pull the correct product accurately and to match the order.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the inventory.
  • Stage orders according to shipping time. When pulling orders for the next day's delivery, products must be staged in the proper coolers.
  • Responsible for the appearance of the coolers. Follow supervisor's cleaning schedule.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety rules.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by management.
  • Require working longer than your scheduled work hours.
  • Complete proper documentation for product traceability.
  • Perform final check to ensure that items and weights match the orders. Follow up to ensure product provides high quality presentation for the customer.
  • Assist in assembling cooler stock pallets and outgoing product.
  • Require to follow all GMP’s and safety regulation.
  • Report discrepancies to managers.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management. Responsible for working until job is completed.
