We are currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic in Fernley, NV.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting industrial equipment troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service for all production equipment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 2+ years of related industrial mechanical experience, food industry preferred.
- Must be able to provide own hand tools common to the industrial mechanic trade and tool box.
- Must be able to work any shift within the 24/7 production environment.
- Prior experience with basic metal fabrication and welding, mill machine and lathe.
- Prior experience with basic electrical to include troubleshooting and replacement of three-phase electric motors and DC motors.
- Prior experience with pneumatics to include troubleshooting and replacement of solenoid valves, air cylinders and other components.
- Must be able to obtain a lift truck license.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Must comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
- Must comply with GMPs and Food Safety rules.

- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production, and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Troubleshoots machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, fans and other process equipment.
- Oxy-Acetylene and electric arc welding and cutting of carbon steel.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
