Independent Sales Representative

Job Description: 

NNZ Inc., is a 93 year old, multinational packaging company headquartered in The Netherlands with their US office located in Atlanta, GA.  As a distributor of packaging, NNZ creates packaging solutions for their clients in the fresh produce and industrial market.

We are looking for an energetic and talented Independent Sales Representative to work remotely in California.

As an Independent Sales Representative you will be responsible for generating new business, as well as increasing business within established accounts.  You will make daily contact and communicate with customers, as well as internal customer service and operations staff, and senior management to provide total customer satisfaction. 

You must be willing to travel in the state of CA, calling on pre-existing customers as well as establishing new accounts through cold calling and database leads.  

This is a 1099 contract position that pays commission only.

Requirements: 
  • 3-5 years sales experience (produce packaging or industrial packaging experience a plus)
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales objectives
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Innate understanding of the sales process
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Strong work ethic, goal oriented with the ability to take initiative
  • Computer literate – proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Can travel a minimum of 50% of the working week in order to meet and work with prospects/customers
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Manage and grow business in assigned territory
  • Maximize current accounts to achieve volume, revenue, growth targets and margins
  • Manage all daily sales activities with assigned customers through regular contact and field visits
  • Get to know your customer’s business, understand their needs in order to ensure that you are providing them with all products and services available from NNZ
  • Prospect, generate, and qualify new customers
  • Seek out new market opportunities
  • Represent company at industry trade shows
  • Travel to customer locations to promote products, understand needs and build lasting relationships
Ideal Candidate: 

The ideal candidate will be an independent agent representing a complimentary line of products (machinery, corrugated, fertilizer/seed, etc.) who wants to significantly add to their income with NNZ’s line of packaging products.
