Job Description: 
Munger Farms & Monarch Nut Co. brings the finest and freshest of fruits and nuts found in the sun-drenched San Joaquin Valley.  We combine three generations of farming experience with today’s cutting edge techniques assuring the finest, most wholesome, flavorful berries and delicious nuts possible. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager for our Delano, Ca. location.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organizes, supervises, directs and monitors the work of material handling and shipping/receiving personnel.
  • Ensures that shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution are performed in an efficient manner. 
  • Leads problem solving efforts through the facilitation of team meetings and on the floor leadership.
  • Conducts proper performance management, which includes coaching, counseling, discipline, and performance reviews.
  • Counsels and disciplines employees in a fair and consistent manner in accordance with work rule policies.
  • Practices and enforces GMP’s and constantly ensures the quality of the product.
  • Resolves employee issues and concerns, or engages the Operations Manager and Human Resources to assist in unsettled issues.                                                         
  • Coordinates warehouse personnel scheduling to include hours, responsibilities and master sanitation functions.
  • Oversees the daily activities of all loading dock areas, case picking and staging operations. 
  • Oversees racking, bar coding or RF scanning, forklift contracts, radio usage, and all other warehouse equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Troubleshoots as required.
  • Oversees product inventories with physical counts and reconciling with electronic records. 
  • Maintains shipping and receiving records.    
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.                                                                                       
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse.
  • Monitors forklift activities and maintenance, inventory control, storage maintenance, and warehouse sanitation and appearance. 
  • Recommends, develops, and implements measures to improve productivity, increase the efficiency of worker and equipment performance, and product quality. 
  • Develops an annual budget in conjunction with the Operations Manager and achieves financial objectives.
  • Conducts safety training and audits, and ensures all safety policies and procedures are enforced.
  • Works with injured employees to complete First Reports of Injury and conducts RCAs.
  • Works with support teams to monitor supply inventories in all areas, orders supplies, and schedules external resources to conduct maintenance, repairs, PM’s, etc. as needed.
  • Communicates company and department information to subordinates through meetings and forms of written communication.
  • Remains approachable and accessible to employees.

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are manufactured in a sanitary production environment, and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.
Other Duties:
  • Participates in the interviewing and selection of applicants for vacant positions.
  • Participates with training new employees and conducting new-hire orientations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, and five (5) or more years of related distribution and supervisory/management experience or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably handling perishable products.                          
 
Language Ability:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, support teams, auditors and vendors.
 
Math Ability:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 
 
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
 
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) software, RF and bar coding software, and other project and manufacturing software.
 
Supervisory Skills:
  • Directly supervises a subordinate S&R supervisor.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these individuals.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
