National Account Manager

Mulholland Citrus is currently seeking an experienced and motivated National Accounts Manager with a proven track record of success in the produce industry to join our sales team in Orange Cove, California.
The position provides a unique opportunity for development within a dynamic team, in an actively growing company
This position will play a significant role in growing domestic and international sales in additional to managing existing accounts. The qualified candidate will have at least 3 years of experience selling produce to national retailers as well as other market sectors. Compensation will be commensurate with industry standards and level of experience of the candidate.

Position Reports to: 
Company Owner
Responsibilities & Duties: 

Manage and grow existing customer accounts, including wholesale, retail, and food service accounts
Proactively create opportunities for additional sales with new and existing customers
Develop and maintain supply agreements and ad opportunities with  key accounts
Collaborate with sales team on pricing strategy and program implementation planning
Maintain sales targets and category growth
Development of new products

Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 3 years related experience

Qualifications: 
  • Prior produce sales experience highly desirable
  • Established customer base and large number of industry contacts is desirable
  • A proven track record in increasing sales and establishing new accounts is a must
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Famous, Retail Link and I-trade
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Sound knowledge of proven sales processes
  • Strong customer service and marketing skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of market conditions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
  • Ability to stay focused in the midst of an active environment and to stay calm under pressure
  • A motivated attitude with the ability to take initiative on processes outside of defined job scope, including research and provide proactive solutions to management
