We are currently searching for a Packing Foreperson to join our team in Royal Oaks, CA.
As a Packing Foreperson you will be responsible for overseeing the packing line. You will ensure that all employees are following Monterey Mushrooms and OSHA standards while performing their work activities. You will also work on creating/implementing plans to cut production waste while working effectively and safely.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in related field; fresh produce – hands on experience preferred.
- Computer Proficient.
- Experience with broad range of QA standards.
- Strong interpersonal, written, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Forklift certified a plus.
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Assists in managing the sorting, packing and labeling of all products produced at the facility.
- Responsible for providing productivity reports, scrap reports, downtime reports and other reporting as directed.
- Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing all daily work activities.
- Leads the overall coordination and communication of the area he/she supervises.
- Responsible for ensuring accountability and discipline.
- Assists with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals.
- Responsible for ensuring that the entire team has the necessary tools and materials to properly perform their roles safely and efficiently.
- Implements existing production targets and makes adjustments as necessary to product demands within specifications.
- Recommends and implements action plans to correct production deviations and reduction of product waste.
